Portugal North tour

Day 1

ARRIVAL IN PORTO

Arrival in Porto. Meet and greet with the local guide. Transfer by coach to hotel.
Dinner (if included) and overnight.

Day 2

PORTO: CAPITAL OF THE NORTH

Breakfast. Porto City tour: visit cathedral of Porto, Torre dos Clérigos, Mercado do Bolhão. You will feel the ambience of this city! Free time for lunch. After lunch, visit the lower part of town: Rua das Flores, Mercado da Bolsa and Ribeira. The tour ends at the other side of the Douro river, in Gaia...you will discover the Port Wine caves and taste 2 delicious Port wines.
Dinner at Restaurant Chez Lapin, to taste the typical portuguese cuisine while enjoying the beautiful views over the Douro River.
Return to the hotel to overnight.

Day 3

TRAIN TRAVEL AND DOURO PANORAMIC CRUISE

Breakfast. Meeting at Estação de S.Bento and departure to Régua. This is the most beautiful rail journey in Portugal. Arrival to Régua and visit Museum of Douro. Meeting at the bay to begin the cruise back to Porto while appetizers and lunch will be served on board.
Arrival. Dinner and live orchestra or Fado concert in Porto (if included).
Return to the hotel and overnight.

Day 4

GUIMARÃES AND BRAGA

Breakfast and departure to Guimarães.
Mini city tour to see the Castle, Chapel of S. Miguel, the Dukes of Bragança Palace, Largo Oliveira and Praça do Toural where we will taste a delicious cake and coffee. Lunch (not included). Short trip to Braga.
Check in at hotel. Dinner in the hotel or restaurant (if included). Overnight.

Day 5

BRAGA

Breakfast. Half day tour to see the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus and the Sanctuary of Sameiro; in the city centre visit to the Cathedral of Braga and its golden Treasure. Free time during afternoon. Dinner at a typical restaurant (if included). Back to the hotel and overnight.

Day 6

GERÊS

Breakfast. Trip to Gerês, the only National Park in Portugal: clean air and crystal clear waters of the brooks and streams. After lunch, enjoy a 'Termas' break: rest in 'thermal water' pools or have a thermal massage (if included). Departure to Viana do Castelo. Check in. Dinner at restaurant (if included). Overnight.

Day 7

VIANA DO CASTELO | CAMINHA | VILA PRAIA DE ANCORA | VILA NOVA DE CERVEIRA

Breakfast. Mini tour at Viana do Castelo city where you will taste the famous 'berliner' tradition of Viana. Departure to Vila Praia de Âncora to relax in the beautiful beach.
Lunch (if included). After lunch, mini tour and departure to Caminha where the Minho river reaches its widest point and marks the border between Portugal and Spain. We will finally reach Vila Nova de Cerveira located on the Spanish border. Dinner includes typical 'Minho' food at a local restaurant (if included).
Return to the hotel and overnight.

Day 8

SPA | VILA DO CONDE

Breakfast. Free Morning to use the hotel spa.
Departure to Vila do Conde. Check in at the hotel, free time por personal activities and/or shopping. Dinner in a typical restaurant in Vila do Conde (if included). Overnight.

Day 9

DEPARTURE

Breakfast. Check-out. Transfer to the airport.
